Movie description:
A raggedly dressed boy wearing a torn pair of pair of sneakers sits on a bench in a park feeling uncomfortable with his tennis shoes. He wanders in the park and when he returns, there is a boy with a brand new pair of sneakers sat on the bench. The ragged boy goes to another place with envy and wishes that he were the other boy. His wish is somehow granted and he switches body with the other boy and learns his health condition.
Nima Raoofi of Adelaide, Australia created this incredible MAPS Film School Production, entitled »My Shoes«. In just under four minutes, this «fable of life’s appearances» tells the tale of two boys from totally opposite backgrounds. One boy is poverty-stricken. His clothes are tattered, his face is dirty and worst of all, his shoes are torn and useless. When he meets a rich boy – whose sneakers are stylish and pristine – the penniless child is given the opportunity to switch places and experience life as a normal kid.
Envy washes over the poor boy, and he makes a wish out loud: »I want to be like him!« In an instant, the two boys magically switch places. But not everything is as it seems. Just wait until the end ...
